The balloons dropped, a boisterous bit of pandemonium ensued, and area families welcomed 2015 at noon Wednesday in Homewood.
The Homewood Community Relations Committee hosted the annual New Years Eve bash in the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District Auditorium.
The event began with comedy magician Circus Boy providing a show filled with such acts as knife juggling on a unicycle, popping wheelies on the world’s smallest bicycle and mouth-juggling ping-pong balls.
The balloon drop was followed by a feast catered by White Castle of Homewood.
