Police Reports: Dec. 6, 2014


The National Weather Service has revised the snowfall predictions for today. The Homewood-Flossmoor area is now expected to receive about 1 to 2 inches of snow this afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a winter storm watch that includes all of Cook County, according to a notice on the NWS website.The watch is in effect most of the day Wednesday, Dec. 24.

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
