Local tennis students will have a chance to serve as ball persons during a tennis exhibition match to be held Sunday, Dec. 14, at Chicago State University, according to a news release from the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club.

The Chicago State Sports Management and Promotions professional tennis exhibition match will pit former world number one and current top player Jelena Jankovic against Chicago’s Taylor Townsend. The event will be held in the Emil & Patricia Jones Convocation Center, 9501 S. King Drive, Chicago.

To qualify for one of these ball person positions, tennis students will need to attend a training session led by CSU Tennis Coach Jack Barton, which will be held at the club on 183rd Street in Homewood. The date and times are yet to be determined.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite. For more information, visit www.SportsManagementAndPromotions.com.
