A sharp eye could pay off for Homewood residents during the holiday season

Every snowflake might be different in nature. But in downtown Homewood, the decorative snowflakes displayed on light poles are all the same — except one.

Village President Richard Hofeld announced at the end of the Tuesday, Nov. 25, board of trustees meeting that anyone who spots the lighted snowflake with a unique design will earn a coupon from Twisted Q BBQ and Bakery or Eat Rice. Successful snowflake spotters can stop by Village Hall, 2020 Chestnut Road, during a Meet the Mayor session, 9 a.m. to noon  each Saturday, to claim the prize.
