Congratulations to the H-F Vikings!
The Homewood-Flossmoor High School football team (11-2) is headed to the Class 8A state title game Saturday, Nov. 29, after a 35-28 win last night over Simeon Career Academy, according to a report in the Southtown Star.
The Vikings won with a 64-yard fourth-quarter drive that sealed the victory.
The title game versus Stevenson (13-0) will begin at 7 p.m. in Champaign’s Memorial Stadium.
Tickets will go on sale Sunday, Nov. 23 in the North Building Atrium from noon-2 p.m., according to the H-F website. Ticket sales will resume Monday, Nov. 24, in the Campus Store (South Cafeteria) at 9 a.m. Ticket sales will end Wednesday, Nov. 26, at noon.
Tickets also will be available for purchase at the University of Illinois ticket office.
All tickets are general admission for $10. Student fan buses will be available for $5 for those holding game tickets.
