Homewood will host one of four public hearings scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 5, on Metra’s proposed 2015 budget. Four more hearings are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6.
The hearing will be in the board room at Village Hall, 2020 Chestnut Road, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The budget calls for “average fare increase of 10.8 percent across all fare types to help fund a modernization plan and pay for other rising costs of doing business,” according to a Metra news release.
In addition to the public hearings, Metra will accept comments about the budget emailed to [email protected].
