at Martin Avenue and Ridge

Homewood is thinking outside the Big Box this holiday season with the installation of a large shipping container in its downtown area, according to a news release from the village.

The “Big Box” on Martin Avenue just north of Ridge Road will open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29. It will also be open on Friday, Dec. 5, during the “Holiday Lights in Homewood” winter festival from 6 to 9 p.m.

The box will provide an opportunity for residents to see new fashion trends and unique merchandise in one unique location, Homewood officials said.

In addition to the “Big Box,” Homewood also expanded its Pop-Up Shops to five locations for this second year. The five Pop Ups are in available storefronts at 2023, 2045 and 2049 Ridge Road as well as 18065 Harwood Ave and 18360 Governors Highway in Cherry Creek Plaza. Unique artisans range from jewelry and clothing to fine arts and vintage offerings.
