Homewood police respond to disturbance at Walmart

Homewood police officers responded at 3:39 p.m. to Walmart at 17550 S. Halsted St. after receiving a report of a disturbance.  Village officials posted a message on Facebook to counter social media rumors that there was a shooting. No shots were fired. Police continue to investigate the incident.

Police investigate break-in at Homewood jewelry store

Three people wearing masks and gloves smashed the front door of Van Sipma Jewelers, 2015 Ridge Road in Homewood at about 5:44 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, according to Homewood police. The three then fled on foot. The value of the items is not yet known, police said.

Assailant flees after stabbing restaurant employee

Homewood Police are investigating the stabbing of a restaurant employee Friday morning, and searching for the alleged assailant. Police said they arrived at Mod Pizza, 17631 S. Man arrested in Homewood double shooting

A Calumet City man has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder for allegedly shooting two people at a Homewood residence.
