UChicago Medicine at Ingalls – Flossmoor will reopen its 24-hour urgent aid location at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
While the rest of the clinic remained open, urgent aid services temporarily closed on Dec. 29, 2021, as surging COVID-19 cases created what UChicago officials called “unprecedented demand across our network.” The move allowed the health care provider to consolidate limited resources.
“We are now seeing a slight decrease in the number of patients with COVID-19 and are receiving additional staffing support from the state of Illinois. This improving situation means we will reopen our Flossmoor urgent aid site next week,” officials said.
“We are grateful to the Flossmoor community for their support during this difficult phase of the pandemic and look forward to resuming urgent aid care at this site on Tuesday,” officials said.
