A 23-year-old man who allegedly robbed employees of a Homewood convenience store at gunpoint last month has been arrested and charged.
Homewood police said that on Sept. 27, Isaiah Gaines entered South Gate Mini Mart at 18747 Dixie Highway and displayed a handgun to employees.
After taking cash and items, Gaines, of the 2800 block of Commercial Avenue in South Chicago Heights, fled from the store, according to police.
Police conducted an investigation, and took Gaines into custody on Oct. 7. He is charged with three counts of armed robbery.
Gaines has been released under electronic monitoring. His next court date is Oct. 29 at Markham Courthouse.
