CALUMET COUNTRY CLUB REZONING – Homewood trustees will consider four measures Tuesday night that would enable an industrial redevelopment project on the golf course. The Planning and Zoning Commission sent the proposed rezoning requests to the board without an affirmative recommendation. More info at hfchronicle.com.

CAUTION ON THE TRAILS – Izaak Walton Nature Preserve officials announced that this week, probably Monday and Tuesday, trees that were felled as part of the new village water line will be removed from the abandoned railroad trail. Officials caution trail users to keep away from the chipper, which can be dangerous for people and pets.

SO LONG SNOW – If you have a favorite dirty snow pile that’s become like part of the family, it’s time to say your goodbyes. Temperatures mid-week will be in the 60s, conditions that are often fatal to remnants of winter snowstorms.
