Homewood trustees will consider a measure Tuesday to seek additional bidders on a project to redevelop the site on the southwest corner of Ridge Road and Martin Avenue.

The building at 2033 Ridge Road, commonly referred to as the Triumph Building, was purchased last year by the village for the purpose of finding a developer to construct a mixed-use building there.

The village has one bidder, HCF Homewood LLC. The company has submitted a proposal to redevelop the site, tearing down the existing building to construct a four-level building with retail, hotel and apartment units.

The board will also hear a presentation by Police Chief Bill Alcott explaining new body cameras to be used by officers.

In other business, the board will consider:

  • An time extension for construction of an oversized garage at 2051 W. 175th St.
  • Renewal of scavenger and limited scavenger licenses.
  • Renewal of licenses for outdoor liquor sales.
  • The reappointments of Rebecca Herkert to the Beautification Committee and Dr. David Speerbrecker and Rev. Robert Kyfes to the Ethics Commission.
Mayor Richard Hofeld will also issue a proclamation in honor of Arbor Day.

The board will meet at 7:30 p.m. in village hall, 2020 Chestnut Road.
