PR strategies for business outlined at GSU program July 31

“Public Relations Strategies for Business and Industry,” a free business networking breakfast and panel discussion, will be presented by the School of Extended Learning at Governors State University on Tuesday, July 31. 

The event from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at GSU, 1 University Parkway in University Park, will include a panel of experts, including H-F Chronicle Editor Eric Crump, who will provide tips on securing media coverage. Product and service promotion via video, social media, and special events will be addressed by panelists Heather Jones, executive director-Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Yani Mason, director of development and marketing-EPIC Academy; Ted Slowik, columnist at The Daily Southtown; Lathea S. Smyles, president-Sta’ Phocused Productions; and Jeanne Sparrow, WVAZ 102.7 FM personality and founder of The Spoken Bird.
 

The information-packed event will give attendees an opportunity to make connections and receive valuable insights. Their company names will also appear on GSU School of Extended Learning’s website for 30 days after the event.
