Job Expo for young adults is April 21

Rep. Robin Kelly, D-Ill., will host a Youth Job and Resource Expo for those ages 16 through 24 on Saturday, April 21. The expo is from 9 a.m. to noon at Thornton Township High School, 15001 Broadway Ave. in Harvey. 
 
A job readiness training session to help young people enhance their interview skills will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, at the high school’s technical building.
 
More than 50 companies and agencies will be accepting applications at the job expo for available jobs, summer internships and apprenticeships. Representatives from various youth services will also be on hand to talk with young people about program offerings that will help them succeed. 

Participating employers and agencies include Nike, GameStop, Walmart, VILLA, DTLR, Walgreens, UPS, Chase Bank, One Summer Chicago and Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership.
