Noted oncologist Dr. Dennis Citrin will give a presentation on breast cancer at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at the Cancer Support Center, 2028 Elm Road in Homewood.
Citrin, of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, will cover a variety of topics including prevalence of the disease, symptoms associated with the disease and discussions on how the treatment of breast cancer has changed over the years.
Advanced registration is required. Reservations are being accepted by the center’s staff at 708-798-9171.
The Cancer Support Center gives strength, guidance and support to anyone living with a cancer diagnosis, as well as to their loved ones. The Center is a community-based, volunteer-driven, donor-supported organization. Programs, resources and services are delivered at no cost to participants by professional therapists, counselors, nutritional educators and experts.
