SSFS seeks runners by Nov. 30 deadline for 2018 marathon

South Suburban Family Shelter (SSFS) is looking for runners willing to commit to representing the agency in the 2018 Chicago Marathon.
“We need to fill 20 slots allotted to us by the Bank of America Chicago Marathon by Nov. 30,” said Vicki Meilach, community outreach coordinator. The runners are part of a team for the “Run Domestic Violence Out of Town” crew that represents 10 domestic violence agencies in the Chicago metro area.

Runners volunteering for SSFS will have their registration fee paid for the Oct. 7, 2018, race.

“We run to raise support, money and awareness for domestic violence survivors,” Meilach said. Registrants must specify they are running for South Suburban Family Shelter.  Information is at rundvoutoftown.org.  Meilach can be contacted at [email protected].
