James Hart School bands fall concert is Tuesday

The James Hart School Bands will present their annual Fall Concert on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at the school, 18820 Morgan Ave. in Homewood.

The performance will feature a varied repertoire for the sixth-grade varsity band and the seventh- and eighth-grade combined symphonic band.

“Students and we band directors are enthusiastic about presenting the first public concert of the year,” said director Matthew D. Johnson, who is assisted by Kim Tallungan.

The James Hart Symphonic Band opened their performance schedule earlier this month alongside the Homewood-Flossmoor High School Marching Vikings and Parker Junior High Symphonic Band for an H-F football game half-time performance that had more than 300 student musicians on the field.
